Walking on the ramparts
Fredericia was founded in 1650 to strengthen the defence of Denmark.
To day the ramparts is preserved as a beautiful park that sorrunds the center of the town. more than 16 kilometers of footpath gives you plenty of options to go for a walk.
At the Tourist Office you can get a map of the ramparts as well as a map of the towns other paths to explore.

Fredericia has many paths along our beautiful coastline.
Take a tour around Rands Fjord a freshwater lake north of the town.
The countryside is curved and bushy with grazing fields and steep slopes towards the valley.
You can also choose the woods of Fredericia for a day in nature.
